Join experienced design & sewing tutor Jennifer Mills for a relaxed and fun morning of creativity.
Jennifer is proud to be part of the Target Devon team, supporting employees in her role as a Job Coach. Her experience includes womenswear design and pattern cutting, workshop facilitation in Arts on Precription, community sewing classes and demonstrating sewing techniques on live television.
With a passion for repurposing textiles into wearable, useable items and textile art Jennifer's love of upcycling lends itself to being creative with the wonderful array of fabrics to choose from in the Target Devon workshop.
Workshop content - You will be using repurposed textiles to create a 50cm cushion cover, with an envelope back. Select from a wide variety of fabrics including printed cotton, linen, jute and viscose. There are florals, stripes, checks and prints to choose from and advice on hand about eye catching combinations, if you would like.
Learn new, professional, machine sewing skills and develop existing ones, in a supportive and encouraging environment. All materials are provided within the price of the ticket, you will go home with a completed cushion.
Create a unique, long lasting item to enhance your home, or, to give as a gift. Purchase more fabrics, in kit form, at the end of the workshop, if you wish to make more cushion covers, in your own time, using the skills gained in the workshop.
